Winter Fun

My girls have been so funny in the snow this year. Emma still doesn't understand that the snow is really cold... ALWAYS! Yesterday, she went running out onto the deck to play in the snow without her boots on. She got about half-way out and froze... literally! Her feet were so cold that she just stopped and started crying. I went out to pick up up and she said"Mommy shoes on!"
They are so funny. Quincey needs to make sure that she is dressed fashionably and Emma just wants to dig in!!!

Christmas 2007

Merry Christmas 2007

This Christmas season has really been quite a lot of fun. Quincey and Emma are really excited about it this year. Quincey, at first, was asking me about every hour if it was
Christmas yet and that I just had not told her. So I finally put together a calendar that she
could mark the days off until Christmas and she is not nearly as anxious that I might have forgotten!! Quincey will carry one of her presents around with her all over the house. Finally the other day she says to me, "Mom, I really don't want to open my present, I just want to see what is inside!!!" Emma has really left the presents alone, but still loves to mess with the ornaments. The first few days were filled with me putting ornaments back the tree . I told
the girls they could decorate their "own" tree. I let them put ornaments on the little trees that I had in the hallway. They loved it!! I bought little stars for them to put at the top. The girls are so proud of their little trees!!
This year the "Dear Santa" is as follows:
Dad: Ed wants an iPod so that he doesn't have to share with me anymore!
Mom: I want a new camera!!
Quincey: She asked Santa for that "farm" from "Costco" that has the riding girl and the horse. Papa Allen told her that there is not a Costso at the North Pole an she was soooo upset. I told her that Santa could always stop at Costco on his way down to see if the little boys and girls are being nice!!
Emma: She wants Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! She loves to watch the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Christmas!

I am so glad that when we built this house that Ed decided that he wanted to put a fireplace in it. At Christmas, it is so fun to hang the stockings, put up the little village and turn it on to keep warm, plus is also provides Santa with a way to come and deliver all of the presents!!
We wish all of the a very Merry Christmas from Ed, Jessica, Quincey and Emma!
